Islam is a complete code of life and this aspect makes it much better of other religions. Even though Islam teaches us good conduct, good deeds and ways of worship for success in the last life, it also encourages us to live the best worldly life. The reason why Islamic teachings and worship play an important role is not only spiritual but physical development. It is our religious duty to take care of our health.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Allah likes the most powerful believers more than the weak believers."
The worship of fasting, Hajj and Jihad also provides many physical benefits as well as spiritual benefits. From the medical research, it proves that prayer has many positive effects on physical health.
Physical Therapy aims to restore and improve physical health. It is necessary for the body to be taken into action as well.

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has encouraged us through prayer.
"Stand up and pray, and if you can not, then sit down and if you do not do like this, then pray while you are lying." (bukhari)

If we mention the effects of different aspects of prayer on physical health, it is proven that prayer is the best combination of many exercises that a physiotherapist performs on their patients.
1-Standing (Qayam) : Leaving the shoulder loose in the condition of Qayam, all the weight of the body moves on equally on feet. This process has been helpful in maintaining good posture.
2-Bowing (Ruku) : In this position when there is a slight stretch in back muscles and shank. This reduce pain back especially the lower back pain, is considered to be the best exercise for this purpose.
3-Prostrate (Sajada) : In this case when the forehead is on ground and knee bites towards the chest i.e knee to chest position.This is one the highly recommended exercise for low back pain. It is helpful in pain managment for back and neck muscles. And while arising from the Sajada, the shoulder is the means of balance and strength results in shoulder stability and strengthning. The position is also good for persistence and stable blood flow.
